Finding the past
Good news, we have now moved to new premises and we'll be reopening very soon.
Here we offer for sale some fabulous antiques and vintage collectables.
When we put this page together we try to describe all items to the best of our ability, trying not to leave anything out.
As you can understand these are antiques and they may have some age-related wear and tear.

A superb looking Goliath pin set pocket watch, set in a very stylish and fully hallmarked silver and leather travel case.
The travel case has a stripped engine turned design on the solid silver front with a blank cartouche in the centre at the top.
The silver is hallmark for Birmingham, (v) 1920 and Maker's Mark (S*B) Synyer & Beddoes (Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes).
The back of the travel case is in black leather style finish, set on a wooden base with folding stand.
Overall condition of the travel case is good, but it does have some small knocks, marks and wear and tear in places, which comes with age.
The Goliath pocket watch is approximately 66 mm in diameter and has a pin set mechanism which is in working order.
The Crystal (glass) is in good condition but does have a tiny chip at the bottom which is hardly noticeable.
The face of the watch has some fine hairline cracking between 12 and 3 o'clock through to the centre, but otherwise it's in good clean condition.
The pocket watch movement winds, ticks, runs well and seems to keep good time.
To keep the pocket watch in good running order I suggest a regular service as I can't guarantee the movement.
Please take a careful look at the photos as this makes part of my description.

This is a fabulous and ready to wear recently serviced and fully working World War II general service pocket watch, set in a modern high quality leather handmade, first/second world war style military/aviators wrist strap.
The pocket watch has G.S.T.P marks on the back, these initials stand for General Service Temporary (or Trade?) Pattern. Also on the back you can see the military Broad Arrow and the service issue number Q3467.
The case has a used but good look with a little scratching and tarnishing in places which comes with age, but has a very clear crystal (glass).
The face of the pocket watch has black numbers on a white background and luminous paint on the quarter hours.
The overall condition of the face is superb with no crazing or cracking, and the hands are also in very good condition.
The pocket watch movement when wound runs nicely and seems to keep good time, I've had the watch running for a few months now with no problems.
To keep the pocket watch in good running order I suggest a regular service as I can not guarantee the movement.
The modern high quality real leather handmade strap allows you to wear your pocket watch as an everyday watch.
(You will be noticed).
The strap itself is interchangeable, you can insert other pocket watches from 48 mm to 52 mm.
The wrist strap is approximately 29cm long and is 100% genuine leather.

A very impressive Victorian card case dating to the mid to late 19th century.
The card case is covered with Mother of Pearl diamond and squared shaped tiles with a blank silver cartouche in the centre of one side.
The interior of the case is in two shades of blue with gold trim edging, the middle concertinas out to reveal multiple pockets.
The push button used to release the lid and the hinges are all in working order.
The overall condition of the mother of pearl case is good apart from one of the tiles has a very small chip under the push button mechanism, a small hairline crack adjacent to one of the hinges and some age related wear and tear in places.
This would make a great case for holding business cards etc.
